Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Clean Hair Policy
Clients must arrive with clean, dry hair for their appointment. If this requirement is not met, a $50 surcharge will be added to your final bill (with the exception of on-scalp lightening appointments). Modern lighteners are less aggressive and cannot effectively penetrate oily or dirty hair, affecting the colouring or lightening process. Not following this policy may result in undesired colour outcomes, such as yellow tones.
2. Punctuality & Service Duration
· Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time to ensure you receive your full service.
· Late arrivals may lead to your appointment being adjusted or cancelled, depending on the remaining time available.
· Services are allocated specific time slots and will be completed as booked. If a haircut or part of your service is removed due to timing or preference, it will still be included in your final bill.
· For appointment duration information, check the Timely Booking System or contact us via text to confirm your end time.
Change of Mind Appointments: If you modify your service request within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment (e.g., changing from a Full Head of Foils to a Half Head Package), the fee will be based on the original or higher-value service. Appointment times are reserved to ensure efficient scheduling and timely delivery for all clients.
3. Deposit & Plus One Policy
· A deposit is required to secure all bookings.
· Deposits are fully refundable if cancellations are made more than 30 days before the appointment.
· If cancelled less than 30 days before the appointment, the deposit will be credited to your account for future use on services, products, or gift vouchers (non-refundable but redeemable).
· Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment may result in forfeiture of the deposit. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
· Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a fee equal to 100% of the booked service, payable within 7 days. This fee may be waived at our discretion.
· The deposit will be applied to the total cost on the day of service, or you may keep it on file for your next appointment.
· Bringing a plus one incurs a $50 surcharge. Non-walking babies under six months are welcome. Due to space limitations, we cannot accommodate additional guests. Children older than six months should not be brought to appointments, as we cannot provide a suitable experience for other guests.
4. Appointment Changes & Salon Discretion
· 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Failure to do so will result in the loss of your deposit and liability for the full cost of your booked service.
· Clients booking in advance may be asked to move their appointment to accommodate staff illness, personal reasons, or circumstances beyond our control.
5. Dissatisfied Client Process
1. If you are unhappy with your service, email info@blondepoetry.com within 7 days of your appointment with photos or inspiration images and a description of your concerns.
2. Share your availability for a rectification appointment; the salon may request an in-person assessment.
3. If the issue is confirmed and cannot be fixed to your satisfaction, you may receive a full or partial refund, provided you sign a Deed of Release or NDA determined by the specific situation.
4. Posting a public review before giving the salon a chance to address the issue will void eligibility for compensation or rectification in full. We would love the opportunity to adjust or improve the experience you might have encountered much more than a terrible review.
5. You are protected under Australian Consumer Law, which supports fair resolution. The salon aims to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
6. Transformation Colours & Colour Corrections
· No guarantee is given for colour corrections. If damage occurs or your desired colour cannot be achieved, you are not entitled to a refund.
· Colour corrections may involve unpredictable chemical reactions. No guarantee is provided for any toners associated with these services.
· Achieving realistic results may require up to three sessions of colour correction.
· No guarantees are made for fantasy colours or for fixing results from other salons or home jobs.
· All colour corrections require clients to sign our Colour Correction Agreement prior to commencement.
7. No Refund Policy on Services
Refunds are not available for change of mind. If you are dissatisfied but the salon is not responsible, resolution is at the salon director’s discretion. Services are not covered if aftercare instructions are ignored, external products are used, or outside providers interfere.
8. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
· By booking, you agree to be strictly bound by these terms and conditions.
· If you do not attend your appointment or cancel within the required notice period, you are liable for the full cost of the booked service.
· Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in refusal of future services.
9. Australian Consumer Law
These terms are to be read in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. If any part of these terms is inconsistent with the law, the relevant provision will be severed to the extent of the inconsistency, and the remainder will continue to apply.
10. Hair Extensions Policy
· A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all hair extension bookings, covering part of the hair cost and deducted from your installation fee.
· Deposits can be transferred to another date with at least 48 hours’ notice; otherwise, you are responsible for the full installation cost.
· No refunds are given for change of mind on extensions.
· Hair quality is guaranteed for 90 days if you buy aftercare products from Blonde Poetry and attend both complimentary blow-dry appointments; the warranty ends after 90 days.
· All clients must sign extension forms (consultation, warranty, and aftercare) sent by email and text.
Aftercare Instructions
· Use only aftercare products recommended and supplied by Blonde Poetry to maintain the integrity and warranty of your extensions.
· Avoid products containing sulphates, parabens, or alcohol.
· Brush your hair gently at least twice daily with a soft bristle or extension brush, starting from the ends and working upwards.
· When washing, support the extensions at the root and avoid scrubbing or tangling the bonds, tapes, or wefts.
· Do not go to bed with wet hair; always dry extensions thoroughly to prevent matting and slippage.
· Tie hair in a loose braid or ponytail before sleeping.
· Avoid getting sunscreen on your hair extensions as it will cause them to go yellow and pink.
· Avoid swimming in chlorinated or salt water, or always wear a protective cap and rinse hair immediately after exposure.
· Attend all recommended maintenance appointments, including complimentary blow-dries.
· Never attempt to remove or reapply extensions yourself; always seek professional assistance.
Specific Terms for Extension Types
· Keratin Bond Extensions: Do not expose bonds to excessive heat or tug/pull them. Avoid applying conditioner directly to the bonds.
· Weft Extensions: Avoid heavy pulling or tight hairstyles. Wefts should be checked and adjusted by our salon as recommended.
· Tape Extensions: Do not use oils or serums near the tape area, as this may cause slippage or separation. Tapes should be refitted every 6–8 weeks.
Failure to follow aftercare instructions or attend required maintenance appointments will void any warranties or guarantees on the hair extensions. Services or reapplications required due to neglect, misuse, or non-compliance with aftercare will incur additional charges.
These terms operate in conjunction with our general salon policies and are subject to the provisions of Australian Consumer Law as outlined above.
Online Store Terms & Conditions
1. Returns & Exchanges
· Due to health and hygiene reasons, returns or exchanges are only accepted for unused, unopened hair care items in their original packaging.
· For electrical or hair styling equipment believed to be faulty, please call 0403 225 042 for troubleshooting before returning.
· Refunds, exchanges, or credits are available if:
· The product is faulty;
· The product is significantly different to how it was described;
· The product is not fit for purpose made known to us before purchase.
Returns policy lasts 14 days from the purchase date. After 14 days, refunds or exchanges are not available.
Items may need to be returned to the manufacturer for assessment before a solution is provided.
2. Refunds
· Once your return is received and inspected, you will be notified via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.
· If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
· No refunds are provided for change of mind purchases. If you purchased the wrong item and it remains unopened and unused, we will endeavour to exchange it for another product.
· Out of stock items will be refunded immediately unless you are happy to wait for the next shipment.
3. Exchanges
· Items are only replaced if defective or damaged. For exchanges, contact the salon and return your item to: 4/44 Curtin Place, Curtin, 2605 Australia.
4. Click & Collect
· Click & Collect is free. Orders require a minimum of 1 hour to be fulfilled after being placed online.
· In-store exchanges or refunds are subject to these terms and conditions.
5. Shipping
· To return a product, mail it to: 4/44 Curtin Place, Curtin, 2605 Australia.
· Customers may be responsible for their own shipping costs for exchanges unless a product fault or defect is confirmed. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
· If a refund is provided for a faulty product, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
· For items valued over $75, consider using tracked shipping or insurance. We do not guarantee receipt of returned items.
· Products are shipped Tuesday to Saturday only.
