Our Bungendore Salon

Bungendore - A Country Edit

We reinvented a former art gallery on Gibraltar Street in the heart of Bungendore. The interior is warm and inviting, with curved walls, natural textures and dappled light that shifts through the day. Partnered with L’Oréal, Kérastase and Redken, we didn’t just open a hair salon in Bungendore - we built a Blonde Poetry Country Edit.

INTRODUCTION

Blonde Poetry is more than a place to work. It’s a workspace designed to refine your craft, feel supported and build your career.

With salons across Canberra, we’re known for our professional approach to colour, blonde and an experience that feels as luxurious as the work itself. Behind that is a team of skilled, experienced professionals who care deeply about what they do and how they do it.

There are a lot of ways to work in the hair and beauty industry. At Blonde Poetry, we’ve built a salon environment designed to be sustainable; somewhere you can build a real career over time, not just get through the week.

Whether you’re starting out or more established, the focus here is the same: doing good work, treating our clients with kindness and respect, building your profile, and being supported by a team that takes both the craft and the environment seriously.

Our salons are structured and designed to run smoothly, so you’re not working against the day. There’s space to think, to focus on your clients, and to develop your skills in a way that builds your confidence and your career.

We care about our clients, we care about the work, and we care about each other. That shows up in the way we communicate, the way we support one another, and the standard we hold across everything we do.

Kindness sits at the centre of our brand. And we’ve structured our roles, our conditions and our environment so you feel valued, supported and inspired to stay and build something here for the long term.

We’re always interested in hearing from:

  • Qualified stylists at any stage of their career
  • Emerging stylists who are committed to learning and growth
  • Senior stylists who value consistency, refinement and teamwork

WHO WOULD A ROLE AT BLONDE POETRY SUIT?

Stylists (or budding stylists) who take real pride in their work and want to build a career in a salon where standards are high and contribution is genuinely recognised.

People who are:

  • Self-aware and emotionally intelligent - you can read the room, understand your clients and work well within a team
  • Motivated and proactive - you don’t wait to be asked, you see what’s needed and step in (even when you are learning)
  • Consistent in your standards - you care about the details, every client, every time
  • Professional in how you show up - calm, reliable and thoughtful in your approach
  • Invested in your craft - you want to keep learning, improving, and doing better work over time

This is a team of people who take their work seriously and support each other to do it well.
