Hair Extension Policy

DEPOSITS & BOOKINGS

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all hair extension bookings. This covers part of the hair cost and is deducted from your installation fee.

Deposits may be transferred to another appointment date with at least 48 hours’ notice. Without sufficient notice, you will be responsible for the full installation cost.

No refunds are provided for change of mind on hair extensions.

Hair quality is guaranteed for 90 days, provided you purchase recommended aftercare products from Blonde Poetry and attend both complimentary blow-dry appointments. The warranty period ends after 90 days.

All clients are required to complete and sign extension forms, including consultation, warranty and aftercare documentation, which are sent via email and text.


AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

To maintain the integrity and warranty of your hair extensions, the following aftercare requirements must be followed:

  • Use only aftercare products recommended and supplied by Blonde Poetry.
  • Avoid products containing sulphates, parabens or alcohol.
  • Brush your hair gently at least twice daily using a soft bristle or extension brush, starting from the ends and working upwards.
  • When washing, support the extensions at the root and avoid scrubbing or tangling bonds, tapes or wefts.
  • Never go to bed with wet hair. Extensions must be dried thoroughly to prevent matting and slippage.
  • Tie hair in a loose braid or ponytail before sleeping.
  • Avoid getting sunscreen on your extensions, as it can cause discolouration, including yellowing or pink tones.
  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated or salt water. If exposure occurs, wear a protective cap and rinse hair immediately afterwards.
  • Attend all recommended maintenance appointments, including complimentary blow-dries.
  • Never attempt to remove or reapply extensions yourself. Professional assistance is required at all times.


EXTENSION-SPECIFIC CARE REQUIREMENTS

Keratin Bond Extensions  
Avoid excessive heat, tugging or pulling on the bonds. Conditioner should not be applied directly to the bond area.

Weft Extensions  
Avoid heavy pulling or tight hairstyles. Wefts must be checked and adjusted by the salon as recommended.

Tape Extensions  
Do not apply oils or serums near the tape area, as this may cause slippage or separation. Tape extensions must be refitted every 6–8 weeks.


WARRANTY & COMPLIANCE

Failure to follow aftercare instructions or attend required maintenance appointments will void all warranties and guarantees on hair extensions. Any services, repairs or reapplications required due to neglect, misuse or non-compliance will incur additional charges.

These terms operate in conjunction with our general salon policies and are subject to the provisions of Australian Consumer Law.
